Well I was on my way to this event when all of a sudden, bang a big backfire then everything dies. So I cycle the ignition key once and a bunch of smoke starts coming out from under the seat. Take a look and I find the positive cable terminal for all the wire plus modules had snapped.

So while I'm waiting by the roadside about 2 miles from my house I see the local neighbors are having a front yard sale. If you read the signs you can see i could have bought a pumpkin or a duck.

And to make matters worse when I push the bike up on my neighbors trailor I didn't see my tool bag hang up and I destroyed it.

I redid the connecton with a better connector however my module is still smoked. Since I just put these new modules in December I will see if I can get a warranty replacement. I would have hoped a fuse would have blown before this module got fried. As far as the tool bag goes I sent some pics to the guy who made it for me and we'll see what he says. I didn't buy any pumpkins but I would have bought a couple ducks if they could help me push.

That blows Al, I'll have to check my connection. Your bag kinda looks like mine did. Had her too low and lost the stitching on both sides from leaning on the turns too much I guess. Stitched her up myself though, not as fancy but solid again. So where's the pic of the new duck?

i wonder if this is why BD states to mount all battery wires on side mount batterys, not top mount.

never did understand why till looking at your pic.

your story reminds me of a joke but i only remmeber the punch line.

" a buck for a duck, a duck for a fuck, a five for a fucked up duck" :?

Well one good thing is wire plus will warranty the module that I smoked. They said the latest versions are built better to handle any voltage spikes. My smartass wife also took a pic when my neighbor was bringing me home and sent it to all my friends saying this was the only way to travel on a big dog.
