Just got home!!!
Up-Date:

That/This Suck’s!!!

Day 1 Monday (Sugary Day)
Got up around 7:30am cant eat or drink since midnight…Need a beer. Head to the Hospital at 8:30am. Get there at 9:30am singed in and wait for some test, wait, wait, wait. Shit thought I was in possessing at FT. Benning again!!!(Hurry up and wait). Finally got pulled into surgery about 2:10pm 2 ½ hrs late like Skid said. Dint get to my room till after 7:30pm and frankly don’t remember much after that other than feeling like shit!!

Day 2 Tuesday Am, woke up around 5:30am (several times in the night too) they had me on a morphine drip and it wasn’t working (6 min timer) Jess got there about 7am and took care of me most of the day. Really wasn’t doing too bad but the pain sucked. They got me up moved around a little bit, that was about it. That night they put me on a demerol drip (8 min timer). That didn’t do any better. The dosage had a lot to do with that because they want you functions to start working Pooh/Pee etc.

Day 3 Wednesday, they put me on Percocet! Yeah Baby finally Did great up walking up and down the halls’ (very week) had two pooh’s and a couple pee’s. Thought I was doing great!!! I did have some nausea and throwing up but didn’t think much of it and they didn’t either. I did end up with a mussel spasm in my Ab‘s which hurt like heal when I would breath. I ate some lunch and dinner thought all was going real well then the cut med pain med’s back because I wasn’t producing enough P&P?? Holy shit from 7pm Wednesday till Thursday afternoon I was in un believable pain, pukeing, mussel spasms I thought I was going to die!!!!

Day 4 Thursday, They cut the Percocet in half a dose every four hours and was still have pooh’s and pee’s?????? Same ass Wednesday afternoon my PM nurse gave me a full dose and I was a little better for a couple house then the third shift Nurse came on and told me to hold off as long as I could He explained what exactly was going on and I told him I understand but I have had bowel movement and I have been filling the bottle. He said that there wasn’t anything for Thursday pm to Wednesday pm. Turns out no one told my not to flush!!!!!! He set me up with a full dose at about 9:30pm (hadn’t slept more that a min here and the since waking up from surgery). He told me he would check on me every hour and if I was ok and sleeping he wouldn’t wake me, he kept his word I slept on my side for about 3 hours. He came in as I woke up and rolled over and gave me a half dose and I was back out till the end of his shift.

Day 5 Friday, My am nurse was the one I had Wednesday afternoon yeah!!!! She gave me a full dose and said I looked much better and my numbers where good. She said Your going home today!! Turns out her and the night nurse that helped me went to school together!!!! Apparently some of the other nurses just didn’t give a shit, imagine that!!! Doc came in and said we’ll get you out of here today and by 1 pm she gave me a full dose for the road and we got out of there!!! Made a couple stop’s and got home about 2:30pm ate a little ETC…

well take it real sloww BB.

i had nothing like your frankenstien looking surgery but my doc said NO STAIRS. for some reason its bad news. so i stayed upstairs for about 2 weeks straight.

got to let it heal good from the start. and they say smoking cuts your bone healing process by like 40%.

but im sure i read a clinical study that BEAM is a miracle cure all!

Well I thought I was on my way back to the ER, had blood in my urine yesterday and still no real bowel movement. Well this morning we tried an enema which they said not to do but all I could think of was our Quarter Horse Buddy that used to colic all the time. We would shoot warn soapy up his kazoo and walked him for hours. It worked very time and this did too!!!

Well Monday was four weeks after the surgery. Doing pretty good so far, I’m not feeling the pain I had for the last several years. I do have pain in my hip/pelvis area at the end of the day, I think from the screws and the graft. I’m not sleeping for shit still, I get four to five hours a night. I get out and walk everyday and am up to about a quarter to half mile at a time and get a little stronger everyday but have a long way before I can get back to work.
I just take it one day at a time!!!1
