Yep smoked another rotor and talk to a guy today how said he did it on both his big dogs.
Man Love these bikes but WTH.
I just want to ride.

I guess heat is an issue with these 100 plus HP bikes.
I may have to rethink where I stand.
I will repair and upgrade.
But it will be 2 weeks of hard earned pay.
Atleast.

it sounds like an alignment problem, or dirty fluid, not letting the pistons return into their seats. also, if the caliper doesnt float, that could be a problem. todays brake fluids really soak up water. even if the reservoir looks clean, the pistons are gummed up.....and dont retract.

if any of those where the case chuck , wouldnt he be burning through brake pads and possibly even the caliber as well? definitely check the pads for uneven wear. something strange is afoot at the circle K!

When you say smoked, just what do you mean?

Is the rotor warped or scored?

That sucks post a pic of it...Seems if a if the piston was sticking it would be burning
pads up? How are they wearing?

Give this guy a call (John) he will help you out on parts and may have seen this issue before.

Everything Is allready apart so I don't think pictures will help much.
you can't really see the bend in the rotor untill mounted.
But you can see the color.
