well, i did the pipes on my bike and i mean ive done it before but i used a sealant. well i wanted the wrap to look good, i love the raw exposed brown wrap it looks fricken awesome. anyways im wondering how itll deal with being wet and stuff without a sealant on it, will it like get all fucked up if it happens to get rained on? also every time i ride the bike and get it warmed up the wrap smokes, i only notice it at stop lights or when i shut the bike off and park it, its not like alot but its obvious, is this normal? should i be coating this stuff with pipe wrap sealant wether i like it or not?

Well yes over time the wrap will start to come apart and the sealer will help prolong this. The big thing the sealer does is help protect the wrap should it get wet. If you don't get caught in the rain too much you can get away with no sealer but even the heat will eventually take its toll on the wrap. As far as the smoking goes this will eventually stop don't worry about it. Another reason for the sealer is to keep your pipes from rusting out under the wrap due too it keeping the moisture locked in.

ok cool. is there a clear sealer or a natural colored sealer you can get? all the stuff i can find is black or silver, id love to keep it raw colored if i can, if not i guess black is an option.
